Today’s daily jigsaw puzzle features a young woman arriving in a small western town back in the 1800’s.
She carries a piece of luggage and is probably walking to a local hotel or boarding house after getting off a train, or perhaps even a stagecoach.
To her left, a family has stopped to chat with the storekeeper while a dog sleeps in the noon-day sun. I suspect he belongs to the boy shown on the left side of the jigsaw puzzle.
The road is dirt, and a horse and rider are headed in the opposite direction from her.
Further up the road on the left is what could be a saloon. A small church sits at the end of the road.
It would be an interesting adventure to visit a place like this, as long as you didn’t get into a gunfight.
