Wednesday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle
Today we take a step back into the not-so distant past to see the tools of one of the more important professons for small villages and towns – the blacksmith.
You see, back then, they couldn’t run out to the local Home Depot to pick up tools and things. They had to be made by hand, one at a time, by a blacksmith.
Even things like nails were made by hand back then.
Did I say “back then?”
Guess what? Blacksmiths still exist today! Our local museum has a blacksmith demonstration nearly every weekend during the summer months. You can also find them in some areas, too.
Overall, I find it fun to watch them work and turn a piece of raw metal into something useful.
