These days a social butterfly is someone who constantly shifts around between Facebook, Twitter, Instragram, Tumblr, Snap Chat, etc.
Me? I only use Facebook, having abandoned everything else as too time consuming.

Oh, Bob once told me he caught a butterfly and put it on a piece of toast when he had had a few too many one Friday night.
“Oh no, Bob! You didn’t!” I thought to myself!
He said the butterfly didn’t like the toast and flew away.
That was not what I was expecting him to say.
