Today’s jigsaw puzzle features some shiny rocks.
OK, a lot of shiny rocks. Sort of like the one’s in Bob’s head.
He bought a bag of rocks like these, and was spreading them in a window box when I asked him what he was doing.
He said he was planting a rock garden so he could grow big rocks and use them to build an outdoor fireplace and patio.
I told him he couldn’t do that, and he looked at me for a second, then told me I was right.
I was surprised that he agreed with me because getting Bob to change his mind about anything is like trying to push a rope up hill.
Digging them out he calmly said that he might have a hard time transplanting them to his garden when they got too big for the window box.
Bob is a few pebbles shy of a rock garden, if you ask me.
