Bob sometimes calls his wife “Punkin'” and said he wanted to get her some flowers to apologize for his behavior over the last few weeks, but didn’t have any cash to buy some because he spent all his money on beer and lottery tickets.
(Bob says a guy he knows sells him lottery tickets for 75% off if he waits until after the drawing.)
So Bob came to me for some help. I told him I would get him some flowers for “Punkin’,” I just didn’t say they would be in the form of a jigsaw puzzle.
(I asked Bob once why he called his wife “Punkin'” and he said because she ate cheese doodles all the time and was shaped like a pumpkin.)
