I’ve wondered where the saying “More fun than a barrel of monkeys” came from. I mean, being stuck in a barrel of monkeys wouldn’t be much fun at all.
They bite, they throw icky things, and they smell bad. Plus, it’s no fun for the monkeys.
I don’t think there were any monkeys in the barrels in today’s jigsaw puzzle.
Some grog, maybe, but no monkeys.
