I was over at Bob’s house when their young granddaughter (6 or 7 years old, I think) came into the room and asked if I really made daily jigsaw puzzles.
I said yes and asked her how she knew. She said her grandmother played them on the computer all the time.
Well, that made me feel good. She continued, saying her grandfather liked to play cards on his computer while he drank beer and would yell at it all the time.
I didn’t ask any more questions, as I was afraid to ask what he was yelling about, and if he were yelling at his computer or his beer.
She ran out of the room and was back in seconds, carrying a stuffed unicorn with wings! She promptly asked me if I could make one with her toy in it.
Well, of course, I said yes, and would have it online in a few days.
I knew I had several unicorns and some Pegasus, too. I did not get into a discussion with Bob over the fact that they were two different creatures. Unicorns have horns, and Pegasus had wings, but in mythology, one with both didn’t exist.
Alicorns are the creation of modern fantasy writers and are a hybrid of both creatures.
Either way, this picture in today’s daily jigsaw puzzles is an Alicorn, and I made the puzzles easier than normal, just for the kids.
Enjoy and please share!
