When I first found the picture in today’s jigsaw puzzle, I didn’t realize it was in Ukraine, but a quick Google image search gave me its history.
It’s over eight hundred years old, and it was named after Leo I of Galicia, the eldest son of Daniel, King of Ruthenia.
It is one of the main cultural centers of Ukraine, and if I ever visit Europe again, I would like to visit the city after the war is over.
