Today’s jig saw puzzle is of a Balustrade, which is a fancy way of saying a bunch of posts that support a railing. It is also called a ‘stair stick’ and is, as you have probably guessed, a French based word.
They usually have a curved shape, with the bottom being larger than the top.
When I was a kid, I was at a friend’s house and they had a railing at the top of the stairs that overlooked the living room. It had these fancy balusters on it.
I remember we were looking at the adults in the living-room when he got his head stuck between two balusters.
The adults panicked, and we got yelled at for being up there, but it was still kind of funny after the fact.
