I ran across the image in today’s jigsaw puzzle in an old, old folder where I had a bunch of unused stock photos from my old computer.
This supermarket stuck out in my mind as I had visited a few like it during my travels overseas years ago.
One “supermarket” was the size of my kids playroom when they were young. They managed by having just a few of many, many items at one time, and a system set up to where they could order replacements from their provider every day or two.
The interiors weren’t brightly lit, but my eyes quickly adjusted when we stepped inside.
I remember one port we pulled into had a tiny supermarket right on the pier itself. They had some interesting and very spicy foods there.
