Halloween jigsaw puzzles in September? Once, I said, “Nevermore.”
Alas, the hardware stores were filled as if the 10-ft ghosts were drilled into our minds, now and forevermore.
Indeed, the sales displays were so craven the images were graven into our eyes forevermore.
Away from these low prices I nearly gave in, and sought a safe haven more and more.
The store did show me a truth, one that was a bore, but poetry I will write again, nevermore.
OK, I’ll wait another ten years before I try poetry to describe a jigsaw puzzle, especially when it comes to spooky holidays.
