Neptune is the ancient Roman god of the sea, is the subject for today’s jigsaw puzzle. His Parents are Saturn and Ops.
He controls all water realms, and has a golden palace deep, deep on the ocean floor. Neptune controlled the oceans with his iconic three-pronged spear, the trident.
With one strike, he could shatter rocks, trigger devastating earthquakes, and stir up violent ship-sinking storms. Conversely, he could instantly calm the roughest waters to grant sailors safe passage.
Romans also revered him as Neptunus Equester, the patron of horse racing and breeders.
Roman myth credits him with creating the very first horse from sea foam or striking a rock to bring it forth.
He is fiercely proud, and easily angered.
He was mentioned on the radio while I was out shopping, and that reminded me I had an image in my photo library that would be perfect for today’s jigsaw puzzle.
