I’m old enough to remember going to a barber shop like the one in today’s jigsaw puzzles. I was a kid, but the barber treated me like I was a grown-up.
(Did you know that some kids today can’t figure out how to place a phone call on an old-style rotary phone like the one in the picture?)
I think at the time a haircut for a kid was fifty cents. Now, it’s fifteen bucks!
(For those that don’t know it, the brown box with the hairbrushes piled on top is an old style radio – AM only! Radio stations weren’t broadcast on FM yet. FM was reserved for military applications only!)
Still, I enjoyed my monthly trips to the barber shop. I would get some candy if I was well behaved while getting “my ears lowered.”
Enjoy today’s jigsaw puzzle!
