We had a brief, five minute power outage during today’s thunderstorms, and it gave me an idea for our daily jigsaw puzzles.
The picture of a young lady holding a lantern so she can see to place a record on an old, hand crank phonograph is the result.
I have no idea why she is using the lantern as it’s still daylight out, but perhaps it’s so she can read the label on the record.
(For our younger jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts, a phonograph is how we played our music before cell phones and electricity were invented, way back in the 1970’s.)
