When I was in my early days in the Navy and going to various schools for my specialty, I would often go into town on the weekends.
As I was on foot the first few months, I would take a shortcut down a set of abandoned train tracks to save some time on my walk.
I once decided to try another shortcut between two long hills, only to realize that that particular railway line was not abandoned.
As that pass was rather narrow, I didn’t want to take a chance that there was enough room for both me and the train, so I ran faster than I had in boot camp!
Soon after, I bought a bicycle and just rode the long way around and stayed off of the train tracks from then on.
Anyway, that’s what made me think about using the picture in today’s jigsaw puzzle.
