It’s time to go back to work!
I was looking for some good vegetables to use in a salad when the local organic food store had a huge pile of radishes for sale.
Now, I like only a small amount of thinly sliced radish in my salad, so I picked out a single one to go with my other food and went to the checkout line.
The radishes were sold by the pound, and a single one didn’t hardly register on their scales.
A quick consult with her manager, and the checkout person just put it into a plastic bag and didn’t ring it up.
Nice! I was happy to pay for it, but apparently most people buy at least a half-dozen or more at a time.
Next time I’ll buy more than one, though.
OK, that was the inspiration for today’s jigsaw puzzle!
