I once had a nightmare where everything was colored purple.
I was trapped in a room where the walls were purple, and every few feet these curtains of purple material hung down, blocking my path, clinging to my body, trapping me.
Somewhere in the distance I could hear a count-down timer counting down. I was scared of what might happen when it reached zero.
In a cruel twist of fate, whatever had trapped me here was also forcing me to listen to “Smoke On The Waters” by Deep Purple, over and over.
I desperately reached out, hoping to find the source of the sounds so that I could force whoever was in control to stop before it was too late.
The timer about to reach zero.
I was doomed, my fate sealed.
Blindly I flailed about when, by some miracle, I made contact.
The noise stopped.
The music stopped.
But it was too late.
The snooze alarm on my clock radio had run out, and it was time to get out of bed.
It was time to start my week.
Shaking my head, I swung my feet onto the floor and stood up, right on a purple Lego.
Sigh…
This is no way to end your vacation.
