Street Market You can find street markets all over the world. Some places don’t have shopping malls like we have here in the USA. For some, a street market is their shopping center. In China I once saw a street that had over a hundred vendors, all outside, none with a roof over their heads. […]
Today is the day after yesterday, and yesterday was Valentine’s day. Today’s jigsaw puzzle sort of goes along with yesterday’s theme. In this case it is of two wedding rings locked together by a padlock. I know what I think it means, but I’d like to hear what you think. Enjoy!
The crazy weather we are having this winter makes for some nice outside lunches. Not too cool, not too hot. Today’s jigsaw puzzle has a few more pieces than normal, so it’s a tad bit harder. At least it’s Saturday so you have a little more time to work the puzzle. Enjoy!
(Quick note – a bug on the fan page caused the first two jigsaw puzzle images to not display properly in some versions of Internet Explorer. That bug has been fixed.) Granny made quilts. A lot of quilts. There were quilts in every room, piled up in closets, on the back of every chair, and […]
It’s the first day of a new year. 2012 promises to be a mystery with so much happening in the world. On the health, sciences and technical fronts, we are in for some amazing discoveries this next year. While we can’t predict the future, we can make plans for ourselves as to how we want […]
No, the puzzles aren’t of twins. Consider them more like fraternal puzzles. You get them at the same time, but they aren’t identical. Since Saturday is New Year’s Eve, the first jigsaw puzzle is the obligatory New Year’s jigsaw puzzle. The second jigsaw puzzle is of some students hard at work. I have to wonder […]
I just finished watching the movie “Cowboys and Aliens.” It was a fairly good movie. In it our hero returns to his abandoned farm house seeking to regain his lost memory. I can picture the memories a place like this can have. I have a lot of good memories of a house we once lived […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle combines four requests into one: 1. Jigsaw puzzle with a person in it. 2. A boat or a ship. 3. Landscape of some sort. 4. Birds. Hey, sometimes I get a lot of requests, and today’s jigsaw puzzle combines some of those. It’s not alwas easy to please everyone. Enjoy!
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a little tougher than usual. Besides the limited number of different colors, the pieces don’t have much variation in the shapes. Also, your eyes may fool you a bit as to what you are looking at. I was past due for a tough puzzle, according to Bob. Blame Bob, not me.
It’s a jigsaw puzzle of a guitar. I honestly don’t have any more to say about it, other than enjoy the puzzle.
Sandy asked me for something a little bit artistic, to go along with her art class. She said she was learning to paint still life’s. I thought an actual still life would be a little obvious, so for today’s jigsaw puzzle I chose something that could be turned into a still life. Enjoy!
Do you remember shop class? I made a pair of small wooden bowls for my mother way, way back in the seventh grade. I still have one of them. I have no idea where the other one went. The only other thing I made in shop class was a spoon rack, to hold souvenir spoons. […]
A number years ago I bought an actual jigsaw puzzle made of chocolate. It had a picture of a Japanese style garden, complete with a small bridge, etched into the chocolate. Of course I bought it while living in Japan. It was expensive, but we got to eat it after we put it together. Chocolate […]
Lisa asked for a puzzle with some rocks, while Ed wanted something with wheels. This one has both. Sort of. It’s a water wheel with rocks! Or it’s a jigsaw puzzle that rocks.
I’ve sometimes wondered what it would be like to be a toad, and to try to sit on one of these things. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a frog or a toad on one before. I imagine it might tilt over or break off if the frog tried. Well, that might be a […]
Usually in a hard jigsaw puzzle all the pieces have the same shape. Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a little hard because of all the green cabbage. It’s not impossible, just difficult. Just be sure to get the jigsaw puzzle done before the cabbage wilts.
Well, I guess it’s better than snakes on a plane, but ropes on a boat can sure puzzle you as to what they do. Of course, things have changed a bit since I was last on a boat. For starters, you don’t necessarily have to have sails to go anywhere, plus you have all those […]
It’s Saturday, which means it is time for a party! A jigsaw puzzle party! OK, I have no idea what that is, but it sounds good on paper: A Puzzle Party.
The only problem with a jigsaw puzzle of a cute kitty is that it will never be as cute as the kitty is. The nice thing about this cute kitty is I don’t have to clean up after it. I forget what kind of kitty this breed is called, but I do know they have […]
Sunday’s Mystery Jigsaw Puzzle It’s time for a Mystery jigsaw puzzle, so since one big mystery is how to get wealthy, today’s jigsaw puzzle is of the Fountain of Wealth, located in Suntec City, Singapore. Or not. It could be a water fountain with a handle you have to push located at a ball field […]
I’m the first to admit that the Catalan language has nothing to do with Friday the 13th, parts 1 – 47, other than the fact the puzzle happened to land on Friday the 13th. Catalan is the only official language of Andorra, and is spoken in other places as well. The picture in today’s jigsaw […]
