I tried a few kinds of fruit I hadn’t seen before. Most were good, but there was this one item that was so sour it made a lemon taste like pure sugar. Yecch!
I often mention my wife’s garden with the puzzles, and someone asked me for a picture of it.
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is of our penthouse and rooftop garden.
Sometimes you just have to have something different, and today’s jigsaw puzzle is a good start. Dads, here is a twist for you for Father’s day – take your family (kids included) out to dinner. Play games with the kids, and spend time with your family. After all, Father’s day is all about being a […]
Cityscape It’s been a while since I last went to the big city. Of course the old homestead area is getting bigger. I now have FOUR stoplights to deal with between here and work. Yep, we are getting real big-time here now. Before you know it, we might even get our own moving picture show.
Apparently a lot of people like flower jigsaw puzzles, judging by the number of requests I get. Today’s jigsaw puzzle features a Clematis flower. I think “Clematis” means “purple” in scientific speak. Then again it could mean “Plant with big leaves that we couldn’t think of anything else to call it.” Anyway, I may have a […]
The subject for today’s jigsaw puzzle is a display of Hookahs, or “water pipes.” They are used for smoking tobacco products (not a good idea in any form) and date back to the 15th century. I selected this photograph because it makes for a good, complex jigsaw puzzle. I’ve also seen a few of these […]
The weather is a bit rainy outside, so it’s a good day to pick out a good book to read and relax in a nice comfortable chair. I’ve started to read more books in electronic format since I downloaded several different apps, including the Kindle app, as well as my favorite free book reader, WattPad. […]
For those of you who downloaded Sunday’s jigsaw puzzle early, I apologize. I forgot to take the picture out so it wasn’t a complete surprise. I fixed it after finding a dozen e-mails letting me know my mistake. I’ll do another surprise picture soon, and this time I’ll get it right. OK, today’s jigsaw puzzle […]
The weather is fantastic, so I’m having my burger outside today. Car to join me? (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Surprise!)
Years ago I flew over Death Valley on my way back to California. From 20,000 feet it still looked ridiculously hot. I am using this photograph for today’s jigsaw puzzle because Leigh said she always wanted to see it, but didn’t think she would ever be able to travel there. This is the best I […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a portrait of a young girl standing in front of some graffiti. I don’t know if she painted it or not, but it still makes for a nice picture. (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Winning!)
Have you ever heard the phrase “Easy as apple pie?” This ain’t it. Today’s jigsaw puzzle is not easy. It’s not super tough either, but it will be a challenge for you. We might as well as have something tasty to go along with our puzzles. Got milk? (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Graffiti Girl.)
The restaurant in today’s jigsaw puzzle has an old look. Not too old, just not the new style where everything is made of plastic. Sometimes the old places are the best. Great food, good service, reasonable prices. Sometimes you just have to get away from the dollar menu. (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Apple Pie.)
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is of a flower called the King’s Mantle. I have no idea what that means or where it came from, but it is a pretty little flower. (Special shout-out to Anne and Marcus – 45 years together! Wow!) (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Vintage Restaurant.)
Swans are considered by many to be beautiful birds, but I think they are just ducks dressed up for a party. A young lady who’s last name just so happens to be “Swan” requested a jigsaw puzzle of swans, so here is a family of them. Qvack Qvack! (I think. I don’t think anyone really […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a… is a…. Sorry about that. I got distracted by a shiny object. Today I have a shiny glass building. Well, it’s partially made of glass. But it is shiny. Enjoy. (Tomorrow’s jigsaw puzzle: Swans)
Samantha reminded me that I hadn’t done a jigsaw puzzle of a castle in a while, so I dug around until this one came up. It’s a nice little castle, if a bit small. Guess it’s a starter castle. It does look like you could put the kids in their own tower, though. Enjoy! (Tomorrow’s […]
Happy Memorial Day everyone. Please take a moment to remember those who gave so much for us. The veggies are starting to come in nicely. My wife is doing a great job with the garden this year. Of course, last year was great too! We have some plants growing in plastic buckets to give us […]
The last jigsaw puzzle featuring stained glass was a huge hit. I had requests to put it on the Facebook page, and it is one of the most downloaded puzzles of the last few months. Several people asked me for more stained glass jigsaw puzzles, so I found this one. I think you’ll enjoy it. […]
It’s day one of a three day weekend, and to start it off right, I’m making that good old standby meal – home made pizza! I’ve got all the ingredients ready, including some from our garden. I have a brand new pizza stone (I dropped the old one and turned it into a 10,000 piece […]
