As a change of pace from the previous tougher jigsaw puzzles I thought I would slow it down a bit with a nice butterfly. Granted, it’s an artistic take as opposed to a photograph, but I think it’s a good painting anyway. What do you think? Does it make for a good jigsaw puzzle? Enjoy!
Monday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle I know that over the past week I’ve run a few jigsaw puzzles that were rather tough. Well, that streak continues with what I see as a riot of colorful roses. Hey, I beg your pardon, but I never promised you a rose garden! Enjoy, and watch out for thorns!
I’ve been looking for days for a public domain picture of the Olympics to use for a jigsaw puzzle as it would be difficult for me to go to Japan and get into the Olympics to take my own photograph. I finally settled on this one which embodies multiple events. Enjoy!
That’s a hard word to spell! Marty made a great suggestion for a kaleidoscope jigsaw puzzle. Thank you, Marty! Enjoy!
Roar! (Bear ‘roar,’ not lion ‘roar.’) Venturing outdoors today, I nearly turned around and went back inside because it was too hot. I still had to go to work so I climbed into the car and got on the road. That’s the one thing that worries me about going into the woods – all the […]
How many of you ever picked up a phone and heard the words “Number, please.” No, I’m not quite that old, but I did see it on TV and in the movies when I was a kid. In this case, we have a lot of numbers kind of what you would use to teach children […]
Wednesday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle It’s time for a bit of a classical painting for today’s jigsaw puzzle. I picked a nice one from Franz Winterhalter that is of the Empress Eugénie of France. She was married to Napoleon III. Franz Winterhalter is one of my more favorite artists of the time period. Enjoy!
Rebecca asked for a tough abstract type of jigsaw puzzle, and this one is all kinds of tough! Be careful what you ask for, Rebecca. Enjoy!
No, the people in today’s jigsaw puzzle aren’t extras from a parody of Avatar. They are dancers in a carnival type celebration. (I’m afraid the photograph didn’t say what country they were in.) I figure with all that blue and everyone wearing the same costumes that it would make for a very interesting puzzle. Hopefully, […]
Pipe organs have fascinated me since I was a child. The fact that a person could sit way over here and push keys on the keyboard and this huge sound would come out over there was amazing to me. Once I got a look “behind the scenes” as I watched an organist repair one. All […]
Belgium has, like several other countries, an amusement area full of miniatures of famous places called Mini Europe. Splendid China comes to mind as one similar place. I’ve been there a couple of times and it reflects culture, art, history and ancient architecture of China such as the Forbidden City, The Great Wall of China, […]
Something that I haven’t done for a jigsaw puzzle in a while is a picture of stairs. The staircase today just looked interesting, with the curves and the number of landings, or floors. Of course, it’s hard to tell how many there are, but that’s another bit of fun challenge, figuring that out. Enjoy, and […]
These strange looking statues are in a park in Cyprus. I liked the way they looked, but the background of the photograph was mostly blue skies, so I added in some mountains to fill it out, and added some clouds. I started to add in some spaceships locked into a Star Wars type of battle, […]
I don’t know anyone who’s getting married anytime soon, but did have a request for a jigsaw puzzle featuring something about fashion. It was a strange request but then again I wanted something different so I started searching for an appropriate photograph to use. After rejecting some department store manikins and a person wearing bell-bottomed […]
Monday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle Amanda asked for some colorful fish for a jigsaw puzzle. I’m not entirely sure this is what she had in mind, but they are beta fish and they are coloful. They are also a bit of a challenge as well. Enjoy!
Sunday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle Sometimes you want to take a nice walk in nature. Sometimes you want more than that and go on a nice little hike. Today’s jigsaw puzzle shows someone taking that little hike a bit farther than just a simple hike. Wow!
Saturday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle Sometimes you just need to fix yourself a nice, healthy snack to sit down in front of the TV with. Well, somewhat healthy, at least. The strawberries are healthy even if the crackers (and jelly) aren’t quite as much. Yum!
Today we head south to warmer climates and find some boats for today’s jigsaw puzzle. I’m not so sure I’d want to be there with the hot weather right now, but maybe later when things cool down a bit. Enjoy!
I wouldn’t mind owning a house with its own swimming pool like the one in today’s jigsaw puzzle. The part I like best is that it has a section on the left side where you can swim laps. Now, why are I not lounging next to that beautiful pool?
