First, let me apologize for Wednesday’s jigsaw puzzle being late. I put in PM instead of AM on the publish schedule. Oops. Today’s jigsaw puzzle is of a museum that is actually a Russian village. The whole thing is a museum with multiple buildings and things to see and do. This one made my to […]
I usually see these kind of umbrellas stuck in a drink at a party, thus the name ‘party umbrellas.’ When I was little and saw these at my neighbor’s house, I thought they were for his daughter’s dolls to keep them dry in the rain. I didn’t think they would go with the uniform my […]
There was this apple tree up in Chautauqua, New York, that I would stop by on my way back to the dorm from class. It had the most amazing tasting apples. I would pick one every day to eat, both because it tasted good, and because I had enough money to only buy one meal […]
Monday’s Down Home On The Farm Jigsaw Puzzle Yup, the kids are hungry again. Actually, it’s time to get out and feed the animals. Got to bail hay, slop the pigs, feed the chickens, and make breakfast for the kids. Sometimes it’s more like a zoo around here than a farm. I made today’s jigsaw […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is harder than it looks. I love seeing these balloons flying, although I’m not sure I would want to go up in one. I’d also hate to try to blow one of these things up, even with a bicycle pump.
I don’t have much to say about the picture in today’s jigsaw puzzle, other than this young couple looks a little sad. Perhaps they have had a wonderful day together, but now must go their separate ways when they arrive at the train station. What do you think is going on in this photograph?
I found these empty chairs to be a little sad and lonely. Since today was a bit of a ‘blah’ day, I found it appropriate for a jigsaw puzzle. Then again, Amy pointed out that it meant that the people that worked there were able to go home to their families because all the customers […]
Thursday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle I stayed at a bungalow in Thailand years ago. It was nice, except for the giant bugs. I was a three minute walk from the beach, and on my first morning, there was a teenage boy with a baby elephant. For five dollars he would take your picture with the elephant. […]
I am allergic to bees, yet I love honey! You can do so much with it, and you can even eat it! Seriously, though. Honey flavored cough drops. Honey wheat bread. A taste of honey. Lots of songs with the word ‘honey’ in them. Now you get a jigsaw puzzle of the source of honey, […]
I can imagine some small child riding this bike, with Mom or big brother or sister next to them. Then again, it could be a small stunt bike like you see a clown riding at the circus. Either way, it is one small bicycle.
OK, the title is from a song from the 70’s, but I’m feeling a bit nostalgic because I’ve been listening to 70’s radio today. The real reason I chose a picture of a windmill for today’s jigsaw puzzle is Iris said she just got back from Holland where she was on vacation, where she told […]
Do you remember shop class? I made a pair of small wooden bowls for my mother way, way back in the seventh grade. I still have one of them. I have no idea where the other one went. The only other thing I made in shop class was a spoon rack, to hold souvenir spoons. […]
These three kids seem to be happy. Strange, considering they appear to be siblings. At that age, most brothers and sisters fight a lot. (“Mom – he touched me!” “But Mommmmmm! She’s looking at me!) Sigh. Guess their parents should enjoy it while they can.
Eva wanted me to do a self portrait for a jigsaw puzzle. I wanted to look more handsome for the portrait than I already am, so I decided to run the picture through the touch-up sequence in Photoshop. Then I remembered I should have made allowances for my beard. Over all, I think it’s a […]
It’s been a few years since I went hiking in the mountains. Perhaps next summer I will go again. This tiny little hut seemed so desolate, I picked it out for today’s puzzle. Writing something to go along with it is tough. At least the hiking trail looks easy to navigate.
My daughter was watching 101 Dalmatians today, so when I found this photograph I decided it would be perfect for a jigsaw puzzle. Spot, (I assume that’s his name) is sitting in the flower bed trying to not look guilty. I wonder if he dug up some of the flowers. Now, if I could only […]
Pumpkins are starting to appear everywhere. My wife brought home a couple from the grocery store. A lady at work brought in two pumpkin pies. Since it is now time for the fall harvest, I thought I would celebrate by making today’s jigsaw puzzle a picture of different varieties of pumpkins. Yum! Oh, yeah, the […]
Wy (short for “Wyoming” – her real name) said she enjoys fishing, and asked for a jigsaw puzzle featuring fish. Meanwhile, Edward asked for a tough puzzle to exercise his brain some as the mindlessness of prime time TV was starting to make his head go numb. Today’s jigsaw puzzle sort of combines both. It […]
A number years ago I bought an actual jigsaw puzzle made of chocolate. It had a picture of a Japanese style garden, complete with a small bridge, etched into the chocolate. Of course I bought it while living in Japan. It was expensive, but we got to eat it after we put it together. Chocolate […]
Huanglong Valley is located in Sichuan, China. It is a historical and scenic area and is well known for its colorful pools of water. It also has hot springs, waterfalls, and more. The Giant Panda is from this area, too. It is also on my list of places to visit. I hope to get there […]
