Japanese gardens are tranquil places. If you have one, maintaining it can be quite relaxing.
I have a tiny one on my desk, and it has a miniature rake and some small stones for me to arrange. When I’m stressed, I concentrate on it and arrange the sand and rocks into different patterns.
It relieves the stress quite well.
If only the stupid cats would quit digging in it!

Oh, I ate six of the things today. Funny, the plate doesn’t look any emptier than it did when I started. I think they are breeding!)
