I haven’t see a covered bridge in a while, but then again I don’t drive down country roads much anymore either.
I spent a summer on a farm as a kid and there was a country store about two miles down the road. I had to walk across a covered bridge to get there.
The difference was that one had railroad tracks over it instead of a regular road. The railroad tracks were a detour I could take to save almost a mile in each direction.
I just had to be on the lookout for trains.
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a bit of a throwback to those long gone summer days.
Enjoy!
