I visited the Gaslamp district many years ago when I was stationed in San Diego. It was definitely an upscale area. Of course it seemed like everywhere you went in San Diego was another historic site. Still, it was a lot of fun to visit.
It’s a bit early in the season for snow, but I still found this village to be interesting, and figured the snow would help with the heat we’ve had lately, at least from a psychological standpoint. I also wanted to do a jigsaw puzzle that looked a bit like the ones you buy in the […]
The gorilla in today’s jigsaw puzzle looks kind of fierce, but he’s actually just eating the leaves off of the branch. Still, I’d hate to get bit by him. Or her. (Happy Birthday Eva!)
I work in a pretty nice business campus. The office building is separated from the manufacturing plant by a nice long walking bridge that runs through some woods. We occasionally see deer, and there are a lot of squirrels running all over the place. I liked the one in today’s jigsaw puzzle, mostly because of […]
I was in the mood for some fish. I thought that would make a good theme for today’s jigsaw puzzle, but wanted something the kids would enjoy too. I found this picture for you. Enjoy!
I found this beautiful photograph of the Church of Saint Alexandr Nevsky on Wikimedia. I was struck by it immediately. Really! I knocked my monitor onto my foot trying to swat a bug as soon as I called it up. I did take the liberty of adjusting the photograph a little bit, to make it […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a mystery, or surprise jigsaw puzzle. The picture is hidden until you complete it. The clue is that it is a Vista, not a Master Card or an American Express, but you will need to Chase the pieces around until you Discover what it is. What’s that, Bob? Visa? Not Vista? […]
Sunday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle The hot air in the balloon in today’s jigsaw puzzle has absolutely nothing to do with politics. I couldn’t get a politician to come speak into the balloon. Too bad, I could have had it inflated in half the time. OK, that was a joke. It was neither Liberal nor Conservative, […]
Hello. Welcome to my home. Please excuse the mess. The maid took some time off to have a baby, and says she will be back as soon as the kid leaves for college. I figure she should be back any day now. Oh, we didn’t catch the cat we were looking for last night. A […]
Friday’s Free Daily Jigsaw Puzzle I’ve been watching for wildlife in my back yard the last two nights, which was the inspiration for today’s jigsaw puzzle. It’s a picture of a fallow deer by Michael Gäbler. Actually the wildlife I’ve been looking for is a feral cat. It’s a long story I won’t get into […]
Ann told me about her flower garden, and asked if I had any pictures of some echinaceas. Of course, I had several, and picked out this one for today’s jigsaw puzzle. Thank you for the suggestion, Ann! Enjoy!
Artists work in different mediums. I guess the one that carved the melon in today’s jigsaw puzzle likes to work in fruit. It amazes me how people do this when I have a hard time cutting one in a straight line. At least this way you can eat your artwork when you are done.
Tuesday’s Sweet Tooth Jigsaw Puzzle I don’t know what it is about cream cake, but you just know if you see one, you have to have some. With this one I had to get up close and personal with it, if you know what I mean. Banana cream cake at that! Whoo-hoo! Enjoy, and may […]
I decided to make some onion bread today. After getting all the ingredients and carefully mixing them according to the directions, I got… Nothing like what is in today’s jigsaw puzzle. My onion bread was more of an onion hockey puck. I know it had onions in it because it made my wife and daughter […]
Several people wrote to say they enjoyed the last abstract jigsaw puzzle I did (about a week ago) and asked for another. So, after nearly three requests, I am happy to present you with another one, called “Floral Abstract.” Oh, I’ll be updating you on Bob’s latest antics shortly. It’s a doozy!
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a group of Purple Mangosteens, turn a reddish purple color with a tough rind. I had some when I was in Thailand. They weren’t bad at all. Of course, before the ripen the rind can hurt if one of these things fall on your head. Enjoy!
The closed doors in today’s jigsaw puzzle don’t really mean anything special to me, I just thought it would make for a good jigsaw puzzle. Well, OK, maybe they mean a little to me. One of my favorite places to hang out when I was a kid was locked up this way for a few […]
Elizabeth asked for a jigsaw puzzle of a little Yorkie, and I’m happy to present Baxter for your puzzling pleasure. He’s a friendly little dog and happy to pose for the camera. She also asked about Bob and why I haven’t written about him lately. Bob’s wife has had him on a short leash since […]
I like to walk in the woods. There were woods behind our house when I was a kid, and I used to play in them all the time. There was a great big moss covered tree, just like the one in today’s jigsaw puzzle. It was also a good climbing tree. The only thing I […]
Back when I was in the Navy and stationed in Japan, we visited the Philippines on a regular basis. There is an area called Bohol that is a first class island province. It is a beautiful area and is very popular with tourists. I’d like to be there on vacation now. Sigh… Anyway, this photograph […]
