Relaxing Couple It’s Friday, the start of the weekend. The couple in today’s jigsaw puzzle is doing what I want to do – go somewhere nice and relax outside for a while. Yesterday was hot, today was much nicer. I hope you got outside and enjoyed the sun a bit today.
My wife makes some of the best spaghetti. I know, because I’ve been to Italy and loved the food there. It’s like going home to the motherland. I’m a big eater. My wife made the sauce from last night’s spaghetti using tomatoes she grew herself. It was good! Enjoy the meal and the puzzle.
We have a kitten that sometimes likes to pretend it’s a ferocious big cat. It’s cute. Until those needle-like claws dig into your ankles from behind when you aren’t expecting it. Then cute kitty isn’t so cute any more. Ten minutes later, she’ll want to crawl up in your lap and take a nap. Then […]
Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses. I don’t think the woman in today’s jigsaw puzzle had any roses to smell, but she found something just as nice. I wanted something casual to use for today’s jigsaw puzzle, and I think this one fits the bill. So relax, enjoy the puzzle, then go […]
Monday’s Daily Jig Saw Puzzle Have you ever seen a hot rod dash? It usually happens when they need to get somewhere fast. Of course, that’s what they are designed to do. What? It’s not that kind of dash? Well, what kind is it? Oh. A dashboard. Well, don’t I feel stupid now.
OK, the tough version of this jigsaw puzzle isn’t exactly a walk in the park. That’s why it’s called the tough version. I like to go for walks in the park, especially after a rain. I know the muggers are all inside having a beer so it’s fairly safe here in my neighborhood. You just […]
It’s back-breaking work, sawing logs. Unless you are asleep, that is. Then it’s just noisy. These logs are destined to become firewood, but they have to be split, first. And I thought the sawing part was hard. Time to sharpen my ax.
I’m not sure exactly what a “Theatrically lit building” is, but my guess is that it is supposed to look like a set of a theater. In any case, this building looked interesting so I built it into a jigsaw puzzle – one brick at a time.
I ran a jigsaw puzzle of a white tiger last year. Eva asked me to do another one so I found this photograph of a white tiger for the puzzle. That’s a big putty tat! White tigers are fairly rare. Meow!
Old Building In France Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a bit of a tough one. First off, it is in French. Just kidding. The building in the puzzle is in France. You don’t need to speak French to work it. It is a bit of a tough one as the building is several stories high, with […]
It may not be a big, huge fishing boat, but the one in today’s jigsaw puzzle is just the right size to catch supper in, and to relax when you don’t really fee like catching anything. There are some days you just want to be lazy and not do anything except read a good book, […]
It’s the 4th of July, and it’s a holiday here in the USA. A friend at work, one of my lesser traveled buddies, asked me if they have a 4th of July in Japan. Um, yeah. They just don’t shoot off firecrackers there on the 4th. I chose a cannon for today’s jigsaw puzzle. I […]
For Sunday’s jigsaw puzzle I chose a photograph of some salt shakers in a window sill, with the sunlight coming through the curtains. It’s not really an abstract picture, but I liked it and thought you would too. Sometimes simple pictures can be the best.
I’m not sure why the photograph in today’s jigsaw puzzle is called “Old Friend.” It’s a cart of some kind, so I imagine someone used it for many years. I guess it would be like a favorite car or truck. Anyway, it’s the weekend. Time to have some fun and relax.
We had dogwood trees when I was young. I asked why they were called “Dogwood.” I was told it was because of the bark. Try as I might, I never did hear one bark, even after I put the cat in one. Sigh. OK, today’s jigsaw puzzle might be a little bit tough. Sorry if […]
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking, And a grey mist on the sea’s face
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a mystery. You don’t get to see the picture until you complete the puzzle. I thought the title ‘Compassion’ was appropriate considering I’m going to see Mrs. Marquis de Sade for physical torture… er… therapy – again today. She does love her work, I’ll give her that. You’ll understand the ‘compassion’ […]
For today’s jigsaw puzzle I wanted to do something a little bit different. Here is a picture of a volcanic pool that people swim in, located on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. It appears the islands were inhabited 2,000 years ago. The pictures I’ve seen and what I have read about them […]
Monday’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle I always called these things “C-clamps” growing up. Now I hear they are also called “G-clamps.” Now I’m getting confused. What happened to D, E and F? Yes, I SEE the clamp, but GEE, is it clamping? Oh, the heck with it. I’ll use duct tape instead. It works better when […]
Sunday’s used to be a time when you would load the family up into the car and go for a drive. You had the time to enjoy the sites and the fresh air, and maybe wave at a neighbor or two as they sat on their front porch sipping tea. These days most houses don’t […]
