A friend of my sent some roses to his wife at work today. Either she was very happy, or else she was wondering what he did this time. I should warn you – these roses make for a nice but tough jigsaw puzzle. Enjoy!
Eva asked me for an artistic still life for today’s jigsaw puzzle. “Something with red in it,” she said. I may have gone a bit overboard on this one, but I found this pomegranate on cloth to be quite challenging. Eva played a preview of it, and said it was perfect. Then she ate the […]
Autumn is here, and early this morning when I went outside, I saw a ton of leaves on my lawn, all covered with dew. Guess it is about time to break out the rake. Of course, that isn’t the bad part. The bad part is the leaves I tracked back into the house bringing the […]
Morning is a good time to go jogging. Or so I’ve heard… I used to jog years ago. Mornings the weather is a bit cooler, and the air pollution is a bit less too. I live near a university, and some mornings I drive by it on the way to the post office. I see […]
Tuesday’s Free Daily Jigsaw Puzzle Today’s jigsaw puzzle is of a pedestrian bridge located at the Tsaritsino Reserve and park in Moscow, Russia. The estate goes back to the 16th century, and at one time was owned by Catherine the Great. Among other things, it contains a large palace and an opera house.
Patricia told me about a horse named Hickstead that died during a horse jumping competition. He belonged to Eric Lamaze, and so this is sort of a tribute to Hickstead and his owner. You can Google it if you would like to know more. (Note: I could not find a public domain photograph of Hickstead, […]
I was a tad bit hungry, and wanted something other than the usual McBurgers. Some fresh fruit, a tall glass of ice water and an old movie fit the bill perfectly. I guess you could say this jigsaw puzzle is a bit old school.
I’ve known people with driveways like this. I would like to have one myself one day. My current driveway is straight, and long enough for a single car to fit in between the street and the garage door. It’s a good thing I drive a real short Smart car.
It’s Veteran’s day here in the USA. It’s also the last Binary day for a hundred years. Today’s date could be written as “11-11-11.” To celebrate Veteran’s Day, I present you with two jigsaw puzzles. The first is of the Fort Rosecrans Cemetery in San Diego, California. It is to remind us of what so […]
Thursday’s Free Daily Jigsaw Puzzle If you know what binary counting is, then you know that today is the next to last binary day for a century. It can be written as 101111, (10th day, 11th month, 11th year) or as 111110 (11th year, 11th month, 10th day.) There is one more in there, but […]
Today’s jigsaw puzzle is a little tougher than usual. Besides the limited number of different colors, the pieces don’t have much variation in the shapes. Also, your eyes may fool you a bit as to what you are looking at. I was past due for a tough puzzle, according to Bob. Blame Bob, not me.
Janice asked me to do a portrait of someone. She wasn’t specific, so I thought this portrait of a young girl would do nicely. Turns out to be a little harder to work than I anticipated, but it’s not too tough. Enjoy!
Monday morning, and it’s time to go back to work. If you don’t have a job but are looking, hang in there. The economy is getting better, and you will find a job. If you have a job, I hope you are happy in what you are doing. I sure know I’m enjoying my job. […]
Years ago when I was in the Navy, I visited Israel. I visited the old city, and saw many famous places and landmarks. I found this image on Wikimedia Commons and chose it for today’s jigsaw puzzle. It is a painting of ancient life during the Roman reign of power.
I haven’t been to the railway platform in today’s jigsaw puzzle. It is located at The Hague in Holland. It is a very nice looking one, though. Some of the ones I have been to looked pretty bad in comparison. Of course, it is the journey to your destination that counts.
I have started to develop a taste for chili peppers, something that I would have never eaten as a child. I’m not yet ready for the super hot ones yet, after all, I still have a few taste buds left. I like them on pizza. Specifically on seafood pizza. Weird, huh?
Bob asked for something with a lot of colors. Of course Bob spray painted his car to look like a pumpkin, not realizing the paint wouldn’t wash off the next day. Bob’s wife is a little mad at him right now. These windmills are a little different than the one’s I’ve used for jigsaw puzzles […]
We used to feed the ducks in the park when I was a child. Until I saw Duck on the menu… Then it just seemed… Wrong. I got over it once I actually tasted duck, though. Quack!
I have friends that like to relax with a cup of coffee and a good book. These people don’t own computers, obviously. Otherwise it would be Red Bull and Facebook. OK, I’m kidding. I read books and I use a computer. I just wanted a nice relaxing jigsaw puzzle as a change of pace. (Note […]
Happy Halloween! First, there is a new animated Halloween jigsaw puzzle in the Animated section. It’s on page 21, and comes in five different sizes. Second, rather than do something too scary (small kids play these puzzles too) like a picture of a politician or a monster, I picked a friendly pumpkin outside a scary […]
