“Another bridge? What’s up with that?” Bob asked.
“Hey, I like bridges, especially the walking bridge kind.”
“Yeah, but you just did one a few days ago. You’re getting redundant,” he said.
“You mean ‘repetitive,’ right?”
“Whatever. What’s so special about bridges anyway?” Bob asked, while looking over the edge at the water far, far below.
“Well, for starters, it’s kind of hard to bungee jump off the side of a road. You also get to look down at the view below, and usually get to see interesting things in the distance, too.”
“Personally,” he said, “I think you’ve listened to ‘Ode to Billie Joe‘ one time two many.”
Dropping a pebble over the side, I turned to Bob and asked, “Would you rather I listened to ‘Dueling Banjos’ instead?”
Bob shuddered, and said “One canoe trip with you was enough. And people say I’m the crazy one.”
“No, that’s just your wife,” I replied.
Bob quietly mumbled “Whatever.” and walked down towards the end of the bridge.
The ripples in the water reminded me of circles, so I guess I’d better tell you the pieces in today’s jigsaw puzzle rotate.
